Lakeside Casino and RV Park in Pahrump NV

I am new to this forum so I will probably say something that a million other people have already said. Basically it would be good to have an easy way to contribute to the Good Sam ratings for the parks that participate in the Good Sam program. I just stayed in the Lakeside Casino and RV Resort in Pahrump NV. It was rated and well advertised as a 10/10/10 park. That is not the rating I would give. First of all the person checking me in made me feel like I was bothering her. She never made eye contact with me and was more interested in complaining to the other check-in person about her hours. The park it self was in fair condition but most of the so called grassy areas were dirt with dead grass. Lastly, when I was taking my shower the morning I was leaving I lost all water pressure. I had to turn on the on-board water pump to complete my shower. Then trying to dump my tanks I realized there was still no water pressure. When I called the office they said a sprinkler pipe had broken and they had no idea of when it would be fixed. No notice, no apology, no nothing. I will stay at Nevada Treasures in Pahrump next time.
  • We stayed there several years ago and it had gone downhill then. The front office staff was rude, told me something about cost then denied it. We had ants coming off the trees, onto our roof and inside. There was duck poop everywhere. The pool decking was cracked and falling into the pool, which made the bottom really hard on the feet. Guess it hasn't improved
  • We live in Las Vegas and stay at Lakeside every couple months, while I wouldn’t rate it a “10” we do enjoy camping there. Playground for the grandkids, walking path around the lake, even with the grassy areas more dirt than grass it beats a pavement rv park. Never had any issues with water pressure in the 10 or so times we have been there.
  • With all the bad comments about Lakeside it sure hasn't hurt it. I'm in the Escapee Park not for away and I ride my bike down there at least once a week and yesterday the park was totally full. Even our park has a water pipe break al least once a year. Have never talked with the lady that checks you in but I call tell these people are all over the country.
  • I haven't been to Lakeside in a few year's but after Terrible's sold it, as far as I'm concerned, its been going downhill. Last time I was there, the grass was dying, the bathhouses were not being kept, they had the Lake closed , Spa was out of order etc etc. I use to LOVE that Park!!
  • And RVparkreviews is heavily censored. The delete many of the negative reviews especially when someone comments about a particular staff person at the CG.
  • Yea right first time poster commenting on a park in his home town

Did not put his real name in his profile
  • Post on RVparkreviews.com, you just post, it is reviewed for quality, and posted. No censorship.
