Honestly. Were I you, and wanted a nice quiet weekend. Kings Mountain would be my choice from where you are. It is just down 85, just inside the SC line. Large sites, and there is The Historic Battlfied next door.
The have water, and electric on site, and a dumpstation. they allso have very nice bath houses.
