We've been to most areas in FL and IMHO if you want to have pretty much guaranteed warm weather southern FL is your spot. The panhandle is beautiful but can get cold as well as other areas in northern FL. We prefer the southern gulf area (Sanibel,Fort Meyers Beach). This year we had exceptionally warm, sunny weather. Keep in mind that many popular areas have to be booked way in advance, many snowbirds reserve before we leave for home for the season and these areas can be a bit pricey. As the years go by it seems as if many parks prefer seasonal rentals, hard to get just a week here and a week there in popular areas. Wherever you choose it will be warmer than Maine though, lol.
