Livermore, CA RV park?? monthly/ weekly rent

Our son is starting a new job next week in Livermore, California. While waiting to get into their new home, he will be looking to stay during the week in an RV park.

Any suggestions for the area? In town would be best. Not looking for fancy, just a place to park and plug in.
  • I don't know of any in Livermore .... there are a couple of campgrounds in Vacaville but that's going to be a 30 - 45 minute commute.
  • There aren't any RV parks in Livermore. The closest campground is at Lake Del Valle but I'm sure the sites with RV hookups are booked all summer.

I think his best bet will be the RV park at the fairgrounds in Pleasanton. He would have about a 15-minute (reverse) commute to Livermore.
  • Lake Chabot Campground in Castro Valley is pretty nice and about 15 minutes from Livermore. I'm not sure if they will do monthly, for that you'll probably have to stay at the Pleasanton fairgrounds.
  • The Alameda fairgrounds in Pleasanton is your best bet since it is a opposite commute and fairly close. It is just a big gravel parking lot and the spaces are fairly close. However, many people are staying there for the same reason...to work in the area or just passing through so it is quIet, cheap and convenient. Livermore is a congested commute area due to all of the business offices in the area. My office (two hours away from where I live) used to be in Livermore and I stayed there many times when I was on the way out of town and had the RV. There are lots of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. within a quarter mile. The other place is Kit Fox RV park in Patterson but it is a longer drive with a longer commute (trust me on this one) as I have done that drive as well.
