Long Key State Park questions

We have secured a couple reservations for Long Key State Park in November....it will be our first time camping in the Keys. Site 23 (max length 30) and later site 27 (max length 32).
If our class A is at that 30 foot max length, will there be space to park the car (at our site or elsewhere in campground)?
Some reviews mention needing long electric cord reach hookups. Any idea how much length I might need?

Site 23 hookups are on your right looking at the water. I shared hookups with 23. On 24 I didn't need the extension for power but needed it for water.

Thank you for that information. It has been very helpful.

What I do is use the measuring tool on google earth to assess the size of the campsite. Comes in real handy as we are 65' with the MH and the toad.

I'll try that. Many mornings I have tried to book sites in the keys at the opening second without luck, so when a few days come available I book them pronto....and now I hit the these forums to learn if we will fit or if we will must cancel. I am grateful to all the posters who kindly share their knowledge here.

We just returned from Long Key today, site 24
There was a travel trailer in 23 that had to be at lest 34 ft. they had a large gas golf cart parked in front. They had their trucks (2) parked in site 25.
That being said there also is overflow parking at the south end of the CG.
We have stayed at LK many times and never needed any more than our 1 extension.

Oh, that is very helpful. If they fit all that on the campsite, then even a relative newbie like me should be able to manage. We don't mind walking to an overflow parking area; again just happy to hear there will be parking spaces.

May I ask the length of your cord (with one extension)? We have been full time in our motorhome for five months, and so far we have not needed to uncoil all our cord. For the Keys, I will buy an extension if needed, but I do not want to store way more than necessary.

If it doesn't list a driveway length you may have to park in overflow/day use area. Can't remember about utility pedestal. Great park for sitting by the water
Ah, sitting by the water sounds delightful
I do not see a driveway length. I'm glad to hear there is an overflow area available. I understand space/parking are at a premium in the Keys.
  • Odd numbers have the electric hook up on the right and even numbers on the left. (you shouldn't have a problem)
Even with it on the left, I was able to reach it a few times since my surge protector gave me the extra foot I needed but I have an extension cord just for that reason.

We have always been able to fit our truck in every site we have been in, and we have been in most of them.

If you can't fit your vehicle into the site, there is a parking area down at the far end on the right just for that.

We have a 25 foot travel trailer and I have written that both those sites are good
