Right off of I-75 and a very nice RV park.
(good luck getting a reservation anywhere in Florida due to the Canadian invasion this year) - We stayed at Sun N Fun 3 years ago.. it is nicely located right off Rt 75 and not far from downtown Sarasota... We will stay there again.
If you have kids, there are a lot of amenities for them as well.. - C20ExplorerThank you I’ll give them a call
- C20ExplorerNo go. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Like I said, you will have great difficulty finding a site in Florida following the flood of Canadians who swept down recently when the border was opened.
Your best bet may be to search out one of the many small mom and pop campgrounds closer to the middle of the state (E and W, N and S)
They frequently don't fill up due to less amenities.
Good luck - C20ExplorerThank you Larry. I’ll look around. It’s just for one night on the way to fort Myers so not wanting to wonder to far off the interstate.
- WalabyExplorer IIAt this time of year, with short notice, it will take some luck. Also, everything will be pricey.
Sun N Fun would have been one of my recommendations, but since that's a no go, here's a couple others.
Frog Creek RV Resort. Palmetto (North of Sarasota). We were there the week before Thanksgiving. Decent park. Mosquitoes were bad though.
The Tides - just down the road from Frog Creek. Right around $100 a night based on a friends reservations for a week. Nice resort, large spots all with brick pavers.
I assume for one night, probably not worth it, but I doubt you will find anything for less than $85-$100 a night.
Mike - prichardsonExplorerUnless there is a specific reason to make a stop in Sarasota you could overnight further north where your chances for a spot should improve.
- C20ExplorerThank you all again for your help! We were trying to stay in Sarasota for new years, since we have friends there. We ended up getting a spot in Ocala at Ocala North RV park for $67.50.
Hope you all have a Merry Christmas! - JoeHExplorer III

Glad you found a spot.... You still might want to check on Camp Venice , it's a bit south of Sarasota, but a very easy drive into town.
