- kknowltonExplorer IIBe aware that Cody is quite a drive from Yellowstone, at least an hour one way.
- Sue_BeeExplorerThere are some forest servie campgrounds between Cody and the east entrance, these don't offer electric, but if you are looking for something more scenic than an RV parking lot, Three Mile, Wapiti, Rex Hale are all within 20 miles of the east entrance.
- NHIrishExplorerHow about Cody, WY? I think that is about the closest option. Buffalo Bill State park looks wonderful. Looks like plenty of good options on rvparkreviews.com.
- jalichtyExplorerGardiner is in the North entrance to the Park. I thought he wanted a campground around the east entrance.
- ClaireOKCExplorerWe've stayed at Yellowstone RV Park in Gardiner...you are about 2 min. from the north gate and full services and close to stores. We have loved it there for the last 3 years and plan to return next spring. You should call ahead, as they fill up fast during the summer. If you get there early, they do have spots that back up to the river where osprey and eagles fish during the day. It's pretty special. Although the management leaves something to be desired. It's the closest we've found besides West Yellowstone and Fishing Bridge is VERY tight, I wouldn't recommend it.
- mpfiremanExplorerFishing Bridge is pretty crowded, I would look elsewhere.
- sremsingExplorerWe syated at Yellowstone Valley Inn two years ago, about 30 feet from the river that runs alongside. Nice campground.
- You could try Fishing Bridge inside the park.
- 2gypsies1Explorer III..another vote for Yellowstone Valley Inn - pretty setting, quiet, nice little restaurant.
- Followin__the_sExplorerYellowstone Valley Inn. 30 miles from the east gate. Gravel but FHU. Just stayed there. You won't have any problems with your 40 footer there.
