We need some Maine coastal camping recommendations and prices if available for 5th wheel types
thank you
You have to be more specific. There are dozens and dozens of campgrounds on the coastal side of Maine which is over 250 miles long.
My suggestion would be for you to get the Maine campground guide which is available free from the Maine Office of Tourism.
Dre - Bob___AnnExplorerWe just got back from Bar Harbor. Stayed at The Narrows Too in Trenton. It is very close to Bar Harbor without the congestion.Nice size sites and good hook ups. They have a nice view of the bay which you can walk down to. They accept Passport America which will save you a lot of money (50%) There is a great lobster restaurant across the street. Very reasonable plus good. Found it better then the Lobster Pound down the street.
- msdExplorerCamped at Hemlock Grove in Arundel. It's close to Kennebunkport and Old Orchard Beach. Not on the beach so traffic is not a problem. Close to many shops, grocery, restaurants, etc... Nice and clean, quiet. Check out reviews on this park.
- soricobobExplorerSunset Point in Harrington ($28-$32), Shore Hills in Boothbay ($48), Wild Duck in Scarborough (changes w/ season), and my favorite Chewonki in Wiscasset ($50). They are all very nice and on salt water.
- Kentucky_JoeExplorerWe stayed at Bar Harbor cg and really enjoyed it. Paid for six nights and got the seventh free. Our site had a beautiful view, was level and was a great location for visiting all attractions. We would definitely stay there again. They do not take credit cards or reservations though. We were a little worried about no reservations, but the place was very empty when we went in the beginning of June.
- PadlinExplorerWhat part of the coast are you talking about? if you need hookups it leaves out the State Parks.
