- CroweExplorerBar Harbor KOA, Oceanside. You can rent kayaks right at the campground, they do lobster bakes and pancake breakfasts, and there's a shuttle bus that goes back and forth to Bar Harbor with bunches of stops in between. Has "movie night" as well as other kid's activities. You get the "touristy" stuff of mini-golf, shopping, go-karting, and the like as well as ocean beauty, sailing and whale watching, and Acadia National Park. Whatever you pick, book soon.
- Big_KatunaExplorer IIWe stayed a week at Bayleys in Scarborough. We didn't like it as it was over flowing with out of control kids.
But it might be perfect for,a family with kids. Scarborough has lots to do for families and one of the few bid wide sandy beaches.
Bayleys has a shuttle they run to the beach. - GaryWTExplorerOld Orchard Beach area, Bayley's, Wild Acres, Powderhorn. Plenty to do in or out of the campground.
- CrabbypattyExplorerWe stayed at Bar Harbor KOA Oceanfront CG. Had a waterfront site. Mini golf, hiking biking,& Acadia National Park, small town with shopping eating. There is also a shuttle so you have to drive just pop on the bush take you around the whole island. Get on your reservations they get booked quickly.
