MI counties that allow RV parked all summer?

Shortly after purchasing our northern MI recreational property with pre-existing RV electric post and driveway, the county rezoned to 30 day stay limit. Are you aware of any MI counties that allow an RV to be parked throughout the summer on your own private property? Thank you.
  • What MI County, and do you have a copy of their new law? There are state regulations on long term stay in a RV.
  • You should be grand fathered. Apply with the county for an exemption.
  • Maybe you can get a building permit for a house you "plan" on building and claim you are living there waiting for the house to be built?
  • Thanks for the tip. Yes, we will probably have to do the 30 day shuffle for now. Seems like more and more northern MI counties (Cheboygan, Presque Isle, etc) are becoming more restrictive on RVs, even on private land.
  • Care to share the county? Maybe argue that you are grandfathered in? Move it for a day, then reset for 30 days?
