Michigan State Parks Fee Nightmare

Cancellation and change fees are an absolute requirement as far as I am concerned. And in my opinion $8 to $10 is an absolute bargain as far as the RVer is concerned. We learned a long time ago not to listen to or make any exceptions for good stories. It gets ingrained in your head after about the tenth cancellation request because someone is in the hospital or the rig is broken down and when they learn they will lose their $40.00 deposit, suddenly they are healed and their rig is suddenly running and they can make it after all. Apparently the threat of losing a deposit is a miracle cure.
