When I tried to reserve a campsite for two weeks through Reserve America, they told me I would have to move to a different campsite three times during that two week period and I would have to pay a separate reservation fee for each campsite.
I made no reservation; instead, I arrived at the campground on a Tuesday afternoon, got a 'first-come-first-served' campsite and stayed there for two weeks.
During my entire stay, there was no-one in the campsite that I wanted to reserve.
Write a formal letter to the owner of that park and tell them about your bad experience with Reserve America and with their park in particular: that the site they could have received money for instead went empty. By notifying the park owners of how they are losing money through the insane RA system, it will hopefully create a change for the better.
