Feel your pain. Reserve America also has a squirrely and ridiculous fees policy.
"Ridiculous" doesn't even begin to describe it ...
When I tried to reserve a campsite for two weeks through Reserve America, they told me I would have to move to a different campsite three times during that two week period and I would have to pay a separate reservation fee for each campsite.
I made no reservation; instead, I arrived at the campground on a Tuesday afternoon, got a 'first-come-first-served' campsite and stayed there for two weeks.
During my entire stay, there was no-one in the campsite that I wanted to reserve.
The site was unoccupied, maybe some one changed or simply cancelled their reservation.
I checked with the people at the park and was told that no-one had reserved that site - no reservation, no changes, no cancellations; just RA's way of padding their fees.
