We stayed at Harbor Town in Monroe last fall while I was there on business. Even though it is a "resort" not a state park, and it was out of season with most activities shut down, we had a great time and would go back in a minute. I found the Harbor Town staff very friendly and eager to please even though their "busy season" was long over. That's why when we travel we never go to state parks. Shucks, it was blowing cold wind and the grounds guys were mowing grass and spin trimming the sites! Just my 2cts about Michigan after only ONE trip.
