Michigan State Parks Fee Nightmare

I certainly do not agree with you that Michigan State Park CG's haven't changed in many years. We also live in SW Michigan on the Lake Michigan Lakeshore and have for all of our over 71 years and this is our 50th year for camping in Michigan State Parks. Huge changes in just the last 30 years or less. Went from 63 state parks with CG's to over a hundred and all the new ones are very modern in design and site size and manof the older parks have been rebuilt with larger sites. A few have full hookups, most all have new and very nice modern bathouses or multilpe bathouses, 50 amp electric sites, on the water, boat launches, programs and activities for children and adults, lots of trails and acreage to hike or roam around on. some have paved sites, stores for supplies and/or snacks or treats, fishing docks, maintained real sand beaches and sand bottoms under the water at the beaches, fire pits/rings, good picnic tables, sports equipment/ballfields/volleyball courts, real forests to enjoy, on and on and they are very cheap for what they offer compared to most private CG's which most resemble a crammed parking lot style atmosphere. Some have small very noisy people pools and iffy on being clean, and most don't have an inkling as to what camping is all about.
Why is it that people spend a ton of money to buy an RV that has big enough fresh waters tanks, gray water tanks, black water tanks, is self- contained, many even have generators, and 2 TV's with a roof antenna, and a lot of other attributes and then will ***** and only stay in a CG that has full hookups, cable, WIFI that even works, and a baby sitting playground to keep their kids off off the CG site or in a pool. All at a cost as much or a lot higher than A state park, a national park, or even many county parks. Something's really strange and lacking badly in this picture! Is it any wonder why the kids today sit in front of a boob tube so much with their cellphone in on hand and their electronic game or a sugary junk food in the other hand. Why do you think our nation is becomming overweight slugs before they even finish high school and get even more out of shape or obese beyond that. Go visit a grade school or high school or look around these "entertain me" RV parks some so called RV'ers stay at and notice the average size/weight of the kids and adults you see.
It's called "Get off your duff and do something" and that means doing something physical. Usually requires an area a lot bigger than a few acre private CG!
