Hello all-
I have booked a reserved motor home spot at the Mid-Ohio Race Course for the Honda Indy 200 IndyCar race. The spot I have reserved is in the key hole area. Are any of you familiar with camping at Mid-Ohio? Is there a place to fill your water tanks, dumping stations, etc? Thanks!
I envy you! I've not camped there so I can't tell you. I would guess they would have some sort of a service to pump the tanks/fill the water. I assume you have a generator? Don't believe they have any electricity. May I ask how much it was to camp? Are you coming in Thursday?
Ok-they must have dump stations:
Motor Home/RV camping regulations are as follows:
•A weekend ticket must be purchased with a motor home/RV camping pass.
•All motor homes/RV passes must be for self-contained units (i.e. have running water, holding tanks and sanitary plumbing) in order to camp in the designated motor home/RV areas.
•
Motor homes must use the appropriate dumping stations located throughout the facility. Motor homes must use the appropriate dumping stations located throughout the facility.
•There are defined and appropriately numbered motor home/RV camping spaces measuring 1000 square feet, approximately 40x25 with variations of width & length.
•One self-contained camping unit is required, and two portable units (tents) are allowed in each motor home/RV camping space.
•Motor home/RV parking locations will depend on the size of the unit and must fit within designated space provided not extending into roadway.
•All camping units and personal automobiles within a designated camping space must be at least 5 feet apart.
•Reserved motor home/RV camping spaces will be marked with the last name and spot number. Non-reserved spaces are marked with spot number. You will be asked to move your motor home if it is parked in a reserved motor home/RV camping spot that has not been assigned to you.
•Personal automobiles are not allowed along the fence line. Additional automobile parking will be restricted to the east spectator parking area. In order to limit traffic and remain in compliance, we recommend that you come and go on foot as much as possible and utilize our shuttle system to move about the facility. Please utilize your personal automobile only to leave or re-enter Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
•Campers staying in the Carousel or North Woods should enter and exit the facility through the North Gate.
•There is no parallel parking in any of the motor home/RV spots. Head-in-parking only. Motor homes should be parked either pulled-in or backed-in centered on the camping spot designation number. The purchase of more than one spot will not allow you to park parallel.
