Military camp at Raptor Ranch at Tyndall AFB

We are meeting my inlaws (Oh Boy!) in Gulf Shores the first of June and we always wanted to stay at Raptor Ranch at Tyndall AFB, Panama City, FL. What are the chances of us getting a two night stay, the 27 & 28 of May (the Tuesday and Wednesday after Memorial weekend)? Anyone willing to venture a guess? Or better yet have any experience with these dates and location? Are where else for those days?

    Tyndall always seemed to be fuller (is that a word?) in winter than summer. Never had a problem getting space (except maybe 4th of July).

    A possible backup to AFB Famcamp is the Navy base in Panama City Beach. We stayed there and as I remember they take reservations. Not my favorite military CG but okay. There are two campgrounds, one for smaller Rvs and the other for larger. The one for larger units (not limited to larger)is basically a gravel parking lot but FHU.
