Moab Giants......A place to visit
Today we went to Paleosafari Moab Giants......a combo museum, souvenir shop and cafe. It's located on the corner of 191 and the road to Canyonlands. This place only opened a month ago (first of Sept 2015) and I have to tell you, I've not enjoyed a place as much as this!!!
They have a museum with interactive functions showing not only the foot prints of dinosaurs found in the area, but also videos showing more information than I knew existed!!!! Definitely a great teaching opportunity.
They also have a 10 minute 3-d movie of how the universe was formed and some info on the dinosaurs and a 1/2 mile walking path with LIFE-SIZE (as much as scientists know) replicas of dinosaurs with incredible reading boards.
Even if you don't have children or aren't particularly interested in dinosaurs, this is an AWESOME place to visit!
Oh, the cafe......great hamburgers and hot dogs!!! Plus a bam-bam (a whole turkey leg for those that don't remember the Flintstones cartoons) :)
Oh -- here's the website! Moab Giants
