EL Chorro is just a few miles south of Morro bay on 1. it is a SLO county park $38 a night w/hookups. you can make reservations directly with the county.

i think you'll have to go inland to find anything, unless someone cancels.
most July campsites in the area, are gone by February.

I have boondocked at the marina a few times in Morro without incident. However, there is a nice campground just north of Cambria that is pretty good.

Morrow Bay can be tough due to a lot of seasonal sites. Take a look at Campgroundviews.com. They have videos on everything in that area: Link

Just checked Reserve America and they have a spot available for your dates. Morro Bay State Park, but it is for dry camping only.
