- boomersooner198ExplorerI just made reservations for the state park earlier this evening. We have stayed there before, I like that the sites are somewhat private and in the shade of the trees. Makes for a somewhat cooler August versus the sun beating down on the top of the camper and the AC running constantly.
- Can_t_Wait_NowExplorerWe are going to MB state park knowing I wasn't up close and personnel to beach. What sucks though is swimming advisory they had a 1000 year flood and all the runoff into the shoreline has high bacteria levels Our first trip ever to a beach and cant enjoy the water. Ps wasn't going to far in anyway don't want to be shark food
- 6_7_tow_rigExplorerThanks for the replies.
- CroweExplorerI've stayed there twice and Tom N is correct. Sometimes the tide comes up into the roads and you get your waterfront site that way! :B
- Tom_NExplorerI've driven thru MBTP. There is a high sand dune between the campground and beach. The dune has a few openings to walk thru to reach the beach. A few sites may have a view of the ocean thru these walkways.
I usually stay next door to MBTP at Apache. Apache is rundown but I always get a beach front site. I can see the ocean and beach from these sites. Plus, Apache has a long pier and you can see the beach and campground from the ocean.
