Went to 2 Ranger astronomy talks at Death Valley Furnace Creek Visitor Center. Very interesting. The ones we really wanted to attend were in the evening talks 1.5 miles down the road at the Harmony Borax Works, they said bring chairs and binocular.
Unfortunately, we had our dog with us and just got settled in the camp site. Too late to break camp or walk over to Harmony. So we walked couple of hundred feet to the VC instead.
Found out on one of the talks I can get a tripod and adapter for my binoculars. That is on my list.
