The DW and I went out and saw the ISS fly over a few minutes ago.
Really bright and I used my Bushnell 10-30x50 binoculars with the tripod mount/ flimsy tripod. Didn't open the tripod up and rested it atop the side of my truck. Got really clear and stabile viewing. Easy to follow. Zoomed in Thought I could see the panels, but my DW says no way.
May go out in a few minutes and look for the HTV5 trying to catch the ISS.
Easily entertained when retired. Exciting!
Update: Got a glimpse of the HTV5 Japanese satellite for about 30 seconds low on the horizon.
Nothing until Sunday now
