- agwillExplorerWhat airport?
- Sooner_SchoonerExplorerIt's one of the very few Thousand Trails parks that was fairly nice. We stayed there for about a week and I don't recall any airport noise. Great seafood restaurant across the street for lobster!
- jplante4Explorer IIIt's fairly busy on Fridays and Sundays and they do land jets. However I went through the first 20 or so reviews on RV Park Reviews and there was no mention of plane noise. Judging from some of the ridiculous comments, if it was a problem someone would have mentioned it.
Flight Aware says it averages 56 operations per day. I would expect a higher number in the summer. - ryegatevtExplorer IIWe stay at the Bar Harbor KOA and see mostly small aircraft, a few business type jets, glider tows, biplanes, and not that many flights. We find the planes interesting and not distracting or especially noisy. "Hey, do you suppose that's Martha Stewart's Plane"?
- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerdon't remember any airport noise when we stayed there.
- tropical_ronExplorerNice campground. Noise minimal, not even road noise. No night flights. Did the glider ride, lots of fun. Bar Harbor is a great visit...
- JoeHExplorer IIIWe are here ( Narrows Too) now and will be here for a few more weeks. We've been coming here for 5-6 years now. You will get some noise from the couple of private tour planes ( single engine prop planes) that go out a few times a day. Also, a few times a day a business/private/commuter jet will take off. To me, it's not a big deal as it is so infrequent and is basically during mid-morning to mid-afternoon when we are exploring Acadia and the surrounding areas anyway. Let me know if you have any other questions about the park or area.

Thanks to all who responded. I called the campground and they told meabout the same thing.
What site are you in.
We will be traveling with my brother so we have sites 310 and 311. Made reservations in April. These were the only 2 sites they had together on the water. - Bob___AnnExplorer
