You can stay at any of the three campgrounds near Music Valley Drive (Yogi, Two Rivers, KOA). In my opinion, the KOA is the best. Use the Downtown Shuttle to get to the bars downtown. You can get a card at the desk and call for a pick up (must call in advance). The shuttle drops you off in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame and you walk a couple of blocks to the main drag. Round trip for the shuttle is $10 per person. I think they pick up on the hour in the campground area and pick up on the half hour downtown. No worries about drinking and driving when using the shuttle.
