Senior Pass(age 62) is $10.00 if purchased at a park, if ordered online it is $20.00. The pass is good for life. It can also be used for some campground discounts. Best $10.00 I ever spent. - caysea7254ExplorerThanks everyone! We have a few more years before we can get the Senior pass, but will definitely do that. I just wasn't sure if entrance fees to one park were also good for other national parks in the same state. But I see they all have a $25 entrance fee, so we will just buy the annual pass. we will be going to Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands and maybe a few more, depending on time. Thanks again Tara

- rexlionExplorerI tend to get the annual pass, even if it might cost me an extra $10 or $15 above the parks I intend to hit. It's convenient, and having it encourages me to stop at more places along the way. It's good for a bit over 12 months, so who knows, I might get some more use out of it before it expires.
I never knew we could show our receipts and pay less for the annual like some people are suggesting. But.... would I find all my receipts when I needed them?? - I_am_still_waynExplorer

Is it wise to buy an annual National Park pass if we are going to visit like 3-5 national parks in 2weeks? Thanks Tara
Do the math yourself (it really is quite simple!):
1. List the parks you will be visiting.
2. Go to the National Park Service website (www.nps.gov) click on "Paln Your Visit" and then "Fees and Reservations".
3. Add up the costs of visiting your chosen parks.
4. If the total admission costs is greater than the cost of the annual pass, then buy the pass.
5. If the total admission costs is less than the cost of the annual pass, then don't purchase the pass.
And yes, the decision making really is this simple. - RoyBExplorer IIyou also get 50% off the camp site fee with the senior pass.
It payed big for us. There are many places the pass works...

The correct answer is to pay the entry fees until you accumulate $80. That way you never pay more than $80.
Say you have $65 in accumulated receipts and the next park charges $20. You show the receipts, pay $15 AND get the pass!

That disablity pass requires doctors cerification that you are disabled. Having a handicap parking permit or collecting social security disability or not having any arms or legs won't get the pass. Must show a doctors certification that you are disabled and date you were certified disabled. Guess too many people were scaming them and getting the pass.
According to the application form here:application for access card
a statement of award from Social Security Disability will qualify you.
