Near Sesame Place!!

Can any one suggest a campground near Sesame Place in PA. going the end of August and will have two four year old boys with us.Thanks
  • haven't been to that area of PA, but does Sesame Place's website have a link for places to stay in the area? otherwise look at visitpa.com for campgrounds in the area. we have had good experience at the PA state parks we have stayed at, so you could also look as see if there is one in the area.
  • I think the West Chester KOA is close to Sesame Place. My family loves this campground and has gone three years in a row. There are some pictures and stories about the campground if you click on our blog below and scroll down a bit. It is on the Brandywine River and has a nice pool and mini golf etc... Very nice owners.

    Best--Jeremy
  • You may want to consider QuakerWoods CG or Tohickon Valley CG in the vicinity of Quakertown. Both are north of Sesame Place/Langhorne via Rt. 309 and would be a relatively easy commute. We've not been to either CG in a LONG time so I can't comment on their condition.

I think either would be closer than the West Chester KOA. JMHO

Which campground in Qtown is the one people should avoid due to "extended stay/living" and "police activity"?
  • Ok just a recap here. Went this past Aug and stayed in Colonial Woods. It was recommended on the Sesame Place web page. It was clean but it has no sewer (yes we knew it only staying 3 days)and was not happy with the bathrooms. They only had 2 showers for a large area. The walk to the pool was over a bridge and around a pond. Yup should of went to KOA> You know what you get with KOA. And I was not impressed with Sesame Place.
  • I live near Sesame Place and can say that there really isn't a campground less than 45 min. away. We have camped at Colonial Woods, and I agree with the previous post. Although it's fine, there are not enough showers for no sewer hookups. Also there are no bathrooms close to the pool. I'd also agree that Sesame Place isn't that great. Unless your kids are HUGE Sesame Street character fans, I don't think it's worth it. We went once when my daughter was about 5. Not worth the price.
