- LindaDExplorerHomosassa Wildlife Park was well worth a visit, Rock Crusher Canyon is a nice campground.
- pa_travelerExplorerSee the mermaids at Weki Wachi.
- TripalotExplorerYou might want to try kayaking on the Weeki Washi River. Rental is not expensive and they provide transport back to the start.
We had intentions of swimming with the manatees in the Crystal River area, but after a visit to Homosassa Springs and learning how many pounds of greens they eat each day, we decided that was a lot of poop in the water and decided not to do it.
We enjoyed the area and can recommend Rock Crusher Canyon C.G. if you can get in. - The_Painting_TeExplorerDefinitely the manatees at Homasassa Springs. Plan on at least a half day. Camp on!
- BoldtningExplorerIf you enjoy New England clam chowder you must have some at Dan's Clam Stand (2 locations). The BEST I've had. Then, the steamed shrimp at the Freezer is awesome. Definitely hit Homosassa Wildlife Park, rent a kayak or pontoon boat and go manatee watching. About 30 minutes south is Weeki Watchee-with their underwater mermaid show. Great area-that is why we winter here at Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park.
- RVUSAExplorerThere is an underwater observatory somewhere over there that is pretty interesting. The jacks will look like giant piranha when someone throws some food in the water.
- NanciLExplorer IITake the tour boat, (or if you are a kayaker like us) and go out to Three Sisters Springs in Kings Bay, and swim with the Manatees.
jack L - Big_KatunaExplorer IICharlie's Seafood fish market and restaurant in CR.
The Freezer in Homosassa.
Drive out to Ozello.
Drive up to Cedar Key for the day. - captbruExplorerThere are some interesting things to do around Crystal River, where will you be staying??

I sent you a PM - Dance_ChickExplorerWe're there right now. We took the 3 1/2 yr. old grandson to Homosassa Wildlife Park and highly recommend it. Plus, it's inexpensive...free for him. Adult price is $13.00 with a 20% discount for AAA or AARP. We're at Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park & highly recommend it, also if you need a place. Not sure you could get a site, though.
