  • Not exactly a resort, more like a state park, but Moss Park is a pretty good county park, about 30 minutes from Disney World. Only $23 per night, less with the 25% Senior Discount for those 55+. Spacious, level, shaded sites.
  • I would say that May and September are easier then December which is in season here.
  • Why the problem with Ft Wilderness, I just booked 3 nights in May and 3 nights in Sept. Well anyway there's a nice RV campsite in Mineola called Bee's on rt 27 about a mile off the southbound exit for Leesburg.

If you want to "play the game", Fort Wilderness regularly has cancellations as people try to jockey for reservations.
  • Elite resort in Clermont has what you want. We were there for February.
  • I spent last Christmas at the Orlando/Kissimmee KOA, nice campground with paved roads and paved pads.
  • We are presently staying at Lake Magic RV Resort. We are about 6 miles from Disney. This is an Encore park that mostly caters to snowbirds, but also others. A lot of families are here now on Spring Break. Should suit your needs.
