I vote for Las Cruces--we stayed there twice last summer-fall. Advice-if heading to Albuquerque or Santa Fe from Ft. Stockton -the oil field traffic from Ft. Stockton to Roswell on US 285 is really heavy and the road is in bad shape. We stopped going this route in 2016 and used I-10 heading west. Great decision for us. And we found Las Cruces as a bonus!
