It's just about being with friends and doing activities together.
For me it's about ultra-cheap camping where you get a couple acres of land all to yourself, dark nights, good Verizon and almost no noise. That, and easy access to water, propane and gasoline. Of course it's much more work and investment up front to camp like this, but well worth it to me.
