Niagara Lazy Lakes Campground

Hey, we went to the Hershey RV Show in PA and we got called from a Niagara Lazy Lakes Campground stated we won 2 free nights of camping. We are heading up that way, just seeing if anyone tried it or just pass and go to a regular "public" campground.

Thanks in advance....

Anyone ever stay at Niagara Falls Campground and Lodging???

At $70 a night I don't think so. For that I want paved roads & sites with plenty of amenities.
  • We like this campground:
    Branches Of Niagara
    2659 Whitehaven Rd
    Grand Island, NY 14072
    (716) 773-7600 / 1 (877) 321-CAMP
    Web: branchesofniagara.com
  • We went and took the tour and declined the offer. Doing the math, it just was not a good deal for us. It is a nice park - there was no high pressure and the sales pitch was about an hour. For that we got 2 free nights. We enjoy going to that area so the free offer was a bonus for us. They certainly made it clear that since we declined to buy, we could never go back to the park again. So be it.
There are lots of other parks.
  • It all depends on your needs and wants in camping/campground. We're members @ Lazy Lakes and have been for 7 years. We enjoy the grounds and have enjoyed all of the ROD associated campgrounds we've stayed in so far. Yes the initial investment is high $12,000 total for us because we went with the Platinum membership. In the 7 years we've had the membership we've recouped about $7,000 of our membership costs based on computing overnight campground costs of avg. $40 per night, for the nights we've camped free at Lazy Lakes and the ROD campgrounds we've used.. We bought mainly to have access to the ROD/AOR campgrounds for free for when we go full timing.

It's a time share place. Don't know how it is but I once signed up for a drawing at an rv show and they called me non stop for about 2 yrs until I told them enough was enough.

X2..... same thing at the Salamanca RV show last April. Guess what? Unlucky me gets drawn for free camping and other goodies. But of course, we have to drive up there and listen to a pitch. Nope, nope, nope! They finally quit calling.
  • Yes it is a time share campgroung & you do need to buy into it. NOT ME tho.

  • I think they want you to buy into the campground, not sure I want the hassle...
