Nice park near Fort Meyers Florida

Looking for a nice park near Ft.Meyers for the whole month of February 2015. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Wife and I like to bicycle, kayak and play in the ocean. We have a 26 foot travel trailer.

  • I will second San Carlos RV park for ease of launching your kayaks whenever you want right from the park! I have not stayed there but it looks quite nice.

Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at the "Fort Meyers RV Resort", an Encore park. It is an older style park with narrow roads and slots kinda close but the way they stagger makes it work. The pool is heated and there is a hot tub. The rates were very reasonable and there is a Publix and super target close by.

499 sites. Around 85 Kayak in the park. New area has big sites, but need a bike to get around. Park is on the Peace River, 4 mile East of I 75. No traffic problems that you will find at most of the Ft. Myers locations. No Quebec and No Park Models.

Most people visit once and never look for another park.
Call Sue or Karen and tell them that Big John gave you a referral. I don't get any $$$, but it is good for a laugh!!!

Try San Carlos RV park. You can launch your kayaks from there, the beach trolley stops out front, or you can walk to the beach.
  • We stay at Indian Creek on San Carlos Blvd in Fort Myers Beach. We were about 2 miles to the beach. There is a trolly for 50 cents if you don't care to drive.

Indian Creek has just about every activity you would want. Bike trails are all over Fort Myers Beach. Captiva Island for instance is a pleasant 25 miles to the end of the Island.
  • This past winter we stayed at Siesta Bay. They have a great rate for a first time visitor. The bike path to the beach is at the front entrance. You are also about a mile from the Sanibel Island bridge. Lots less traffis on Summerlin so easy in and out of the park. Two pools and lots of activities. There is a kayak landing on Sanibel and also one at the marina just down the road as well as one of the road to Bunchee Beach. Great biking to Shell Point to see dolphin and lots of manatees. We don't think the location can be beat and with your first time visitor rate a great place for you. We definitely will be back.
  • Gulf Waters, on the way to Fort Myers Beach (Summerlin Road) is our favorite place to stay when we return to visit friends. It is clean, neat, safe, and well located.
  • There are lots of RV parks in that area.

Try using RVpark reviews. Here is a link:RV Park Reviews You can look at many parks easily.

In your search Ft.Myers is spelled "Myers", common mistake, but it will affect your search.

    Good luck and happy camping.
