I have been there two weeks each August the last four years. Actually got booted out early when a tropical storm/hurricane hit two years back, not Sandy. Came home and one day later was living in the RV for a week due to power outages. I hang with friends from LI and never ever thought I would enjoy camping literally on a parking lot with grass under the flight path for JFK. And the ride from the GW to the CG can be truly a test of your patience. Having said that, I have a great time and will be there again in August.
