"If you totally shut off your heat, your homeowners insurance will not pay for any damage as a result of freezing of any surface or structure." Our agent disagrees.
We drain and blow out our house every winter, in far north Colorado. No damage yet, but it's only 37 years old. Have a GOOD plumber do it.
