You will get the signal but no support when you are in the states. They will not be able to reboot your receiver or help you in any way. I talked to 2 people who were fielding all the questions about these changes as of May 31/13. They were both really down in the dumps when I spoke to them.
Isn't it nice the CRTC in their wisdom cuts off millions of snowbirds from getting support from a Canadian supplier? Nice people.

Don't blame CRTC. They don't control USA rules. If your in the USA you need to deal with a service licensed to to business in the USA.
