Shaw called me at home yesterday to try to get me to switch from Bell. I said I wanted to watch in the USA and they said "The CRTC says no". I said "Uhh, no". They said "I mean the FCC". I asked if they were going to do anything overt to stop me from watching there and they said "No, but it's not legal".
I said "OK I'm not going to watch in the USA, but I want a 75cm dish with the old LNB with my free install". They said "No, you have to take 65cm with the new xKu LNB".
I said "I already have a 65cm dish with the xKu LNB but can you give me HBO as a standalone channel". They said "No, you have to buy a movie package for $17 / month"
At this point we decided I wasn't going to switch.
