North Dakota??
I can go anytime and plan on being in the state for 1-2 weeks. When would be the best time? Like wildlife, flowers, and short hikes.

custer state park the last couple weeks of may can fill your entire wish list plus the bonus of lots of baby animals.
Been there, done that. Never been to North Dakota so that is our destination this year. Of course, if I can sneak away from work for enough time, we may make Custer and Yellowstone too.
