North Dakota??
I can go anytime and plan on being in the state for 1-2 weeks. When would be the best time? Like wildlife, flowers, and short hikes.

Check the campgrounds / RV parks out very carefully before making reservations. Many of the campgrounds that look nice online are now work camps for the oil workers, especially in the north central area. We ran into this last year on our trip. We were very disappointed with our reservations in the Hazen area and had to relocate. The Lewis and Clark museum in Hayburn recommended Cross Ranch State Park it was a bit out of the way but very nice.
