This is a very clean park just west of the very north end of the tollway and depending on the time of day it would be a reasonable commute to Addison. I live very close to it and used to commute to Addison to work. - crabbin_cabinExplorer IIThanks all. Will take all advise under considera tion when we plan a trip to see our family.
JOhn - TrlrboyExplorerI live in Rockwall just outside of Dallas. There are literally 100's of places to camp within 2 hours of Addison. Just go on Google Maps and search for "Campgrounds near Addison TX" or "RV parks". Join the North Texas Camping Association group on Yahoo groups and you will get tons of information from them.

I had blocked Sandy Lake out of my mind and thanks to you I now have visions of that crime infested mess of a place. Nightmares tonight! Good Night Johnboy.
As stated there is nothing close to Addison except traffic !
What part of Addison - it makes a difference ---
if west then Grapevine - The vineyards is nice but expensive,
otherwise:
The City of lewisville park mentioned earlier is good
Sandy Lake Rv park is the pits to us- nothing but full timers PACKED together - JohnBoyTooExplorerAs stated there is nothing close to Addison except traffic !

Short answer, NO. There are no parks anywhere near Addison. The nearest is a park along US 75 in Richardson. It is mostly a mobile home community that has seen better days. I seldom drive by that there isn't police activity in the area. Much further north, in Melissa, is the Lighthouse RV Park. It is an OK park, but a long drive to Addison. Other options are going to put you at Lake Lewisville or near Denton, an even farther commute. If it is a relatively short visit, park your rig and get a hotel room, you will be glad you avoided the traffic.
X2 - when you say Addison, you're really saying North Dallas and all the good and bad things hat go with the area. Go to Denton which BTW has a Camping World location right there on the West side of I 35 W if you shop there. - bigdoggerExplorer IIShort answer, NO. There are no parks anywhere near Addison.
