Northwest North Carolina recommendations please

Planning a trip to Asheville, Boone area in North Carolina soon. Enjoy the less populated scenic areas. Please suggest things to see & do..as well as campgrounds. Driving class B. Thanks for suggest...

The Boone KOA is ok as long as you don't stay in the "I" section. There LSV Julian price memorial park on the BRP near blowing rock. No hook ups. Also linville.

Near Asheville, campfire lodgings, mama Gerties.
