DH and I are the exact opposite of what you wrote. He pales when I mention backpacking around Europe or hiking the Appalachian Trail. It took me two years to convince him go fulltime but he still wants a 'place to go back to.' He agreed to boondock when I agreed to a large solar set up (it is being installed tomorrow). He has to have two of everything while I tend to improvise with what I have. He is a boy scout in every sense of the word whereas I tend to 'run with scissors.' Guess that's why we work so well - I make him leap and he makes me look.
Boondock? In a heartbeat. I was doing it when I was a kid - not afraid to do it now.
