Can you put your wife on the line, please?
Francesca,
She is on the line all the time usually pursuing her passions, which don't include RV'ing just for the sake of RV'ing.
To her the RV is a means, not an ends. The RV allows her to rockhound, bird watch, explore, and take photos while staying out there instead of having to drive back to a motel at the end of each day.
She can, and wants, to do all this in complete comfort and is able to because I fiddle with the RV all the time (and read these forums to help me) so stuff always works, like:
- our hair dryer
- our shower
- our air conditioning
- our furnace
- our batteries
- our generators
- our Internet system
- our chargers
- our grey, black, fresh water tanks
- etc.
... well, you get the picture ... somebody has to do it.
;)
Thumbs up.
My first "pay to play" campground ended up in one night of bliss, and the following day, a group of drunken, noisy, external lights and sound system partying families converged. I was certain this was not going to be a "quiet time" lights out event at 10 pm, so I filed a complaint warning when the drunken shouting matches kicked in at 4 pm that Friday afternoon.
This was in Bishop, CA along the Lower Owens River.
Pretty much a noisy sleepless night, despite the warning. Never again... since then, I've been on a tear to avoid others that like to turn into instant idiots when too much alcohol and too many friends are added. BTW, it was the wives and the card games that lit things off with the verbal abuse and yelling, the men were out fly fishing that afternoon. That's pretty rare, where I've been camping, usually it's the guys that get into it.
