Has anyone stayed at Oak Mountain State park near Birmingham Alabama, We were thinking about 3 nights on our way home from Destin Florida in Mid May, Any thoughts on campsites and need for reservation...

Midweek in May should be no problem. You can't reserve a specific site there anyway. I agree that the "A" side is more open. Only reason for preferring the "B" side is that the children's playground it closer. Most RV sites are full hookup but some are W-E only.
