OCEAN LAKES SET TO BUILD BIG ADDITION TO WATER PARK.

I like what thay are advertising but I wonder how much it will affect the rates? They are adding 2 acres of lazy river, water slides etc. This will surely put them way ahead of the rest of the local CG's as far as the water parks go. The kids should love it.!

It has been a few years since I was a Lakewood but it was $80.00 a night and now it's $88.00 a night so the addition of water slides and lazy river looks like it affected the daily rate and you have to get a wrist band so there must be a fee to use it.

They've had teh wristbands for at least 5 years. You pay extra for that. It's a daily pass. You pay per day and have to go get your wrist band each day to use that day. At least that was the way it was 5 years ago. They might of changed up the way they do the wrist bands, but again, you were paying extra per day for them. But it included the things you had to pay extra for (mini golf, water wars, hippo slide, etc). You didn't need a wrist band for the pool. The lazy river is new in the last year or so, so not sure if you need it for that or not.

They are already ahead in most aspects...the addition of this just puts them ahead in that area...
  • I don't go to OL in the summer but last time I went there, last fall, I think it was $35 or $40 a night for full hookup. They can raise the price if they want and I will still spend a couple months a year there.
