Well from your sig you have a 2011 so that's why you never 'ran across' that rule! :B
I am full time and I have yet to see the 10 year old rule in print ever. If I call ahead which I now never do, I have had the owner/host 'ask' how old my coach is but never the words 'we have a ten year old rule' unless in fact your RV was over 10 years old.
To the OP, this is the first time I have heard that a CG had a "20" year rule. IMHO I am very glad to see they have increased the number as many due to the economy are not buying new RV's as often.
I traveled with a MH that was over 10 years old for 5 years and was never refused entrance, nor was even asked how old my RV was, into a CG that did have the 10 year old rule.......because I keep my RV's in perfect condition. That is all the CG wants to see.
I was at a CG that closed and many of the 'residents' that were there with older RV's found that when they called around to find another CG to go to the owners of the CG's said bring down their RV's and they would take a look at it first before they would agree to let them stay there.
The rule is in place for the CG to use at their own discretion to refuse a broken down filthy piece of krap RV from entering their CG. The rule sits in the background and IS, why, when you pull off the road with your family for the night you are not parked next to the Beverly hillbillies..:W Each and every camper on the road would be the first to complain if they pulled into a CG and it looked like a junk yard filled with broken down RV's, henceforth the rule.
