Never been asked before but when mine gets to 10 years old (or 20 if i have it that long) it will always be exactly 9 years old.
You did what i would've done, especially if they took your money and didn't ask the age at that time! Sorry, but if you take my money for a campsite and i show up, i expect to have a site....no questions!
