I think also it's the heat, humidity, and bugs. Without hookups to run A/C, we ran our generator if we needed to cool down inside for a while. But at night when it was cooler, some tiny biting bugs got through the very fine screens, When the wind is high it solves the problem, but then it may die down. Great to camp by the dunes leading to the ocean, though, on Ocracoke when the wind blows the skeeters away.
