Outer Banks suggestions?

We had planned on a Mrytle B trip, but 10 hrs of driving might not be for us right now, love it there, ...but. any whoooo whats a great place to stay at OB in Oct? We have pets, golf cart, and friends with huge 5th wheel going. Never camped there before.

    Try ocean waves, may be closed in October . Family owned very nice folks, nice clean campground.

    Camp Hatteras is a very nice camp ground right on the ocean. Don't know if they allow GC's. The other camp ground we liked a lot is Hatteras Sands in the village of Hatteras. It's not on the beach but it's very close. 5 minutes from the Ocrakoc ferry. Both have web sites. Have fun. We love the OBX and can't wait to get back there. Have fun.
