Cossar State Park, about 22 miles SW has full hook-ups, and is nice. Over in Sardi, there are a couple of good choices, Kyle State Park, and Oak Grove (COE), both have fhu. Nothing closer than these that you would want to stay at.
Coe at Sardis does not have full hook ups and only some of the ones at John W. Kyle are.The camgrounds are next to each other seperated only by a cable.By far the best campground is Trace State Park between Pontotoc and Tupelo , which is a few miles east of Oxford
Definitely agree on Trace SP just west of Tupelo and within eyesight of the Natchez Trace. Wall Doxey SP, south of Oxford is very pretty, but IIRC no FHU. To the best of my knowledge, there isn't much really close to Oxford. If this is for an occasion, strongly suggest you get busy on this really quickly as that whole area fills up.
