- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIWe, too, loved Palo Duro State Park. However, that area is VERY hot at this time of year. We were there in Fall.
- TexasShadowExplorer IIThere is an rv park right at the turnoff from I-27. Or u can stay down in the park.
- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerIf you want a full service park in Amarillo and drive to Palo Duro Canyon, we like Oasis RV Resort. Level paved sites with full hookups. Con: no shade. Palo Duro Canyon is beautiful if you want remote & peaceful. Limited cell service.
- MARKW8ExplorerThe first time we were there, it was already dark. We didn't know anything about the place. When we got up in the morning, the view was spectacular.
Mark - Johno02ExplorerPalo Duro Canyon State Park, another for sure. If you have a toad, disconnect and have partner drive it in and out. Good road, be sure and check brakes before starting both ways, and just watch the road instead of the vista.
- TrlrboyExplorerPalo Duro Canyon SP for sure. You will have no trouble getting your motorhome down into the canyon and the views are amazing. Try to get a site way out in the end of the park in the Mesquite loop. Take a look at my signature photolink and you will find an entire album of pictures of the park, one of the best in TX.
